Have you ever heard the phrase, stop and smell the roses? Well, I have been trying to live by that ever since my dad died. Well, that and before he died. I thought of myself as a dreamer and one who always looks around to see what is going on that other’s seem to miss. I have been amazed at the ones driving on the road, talking on the cell phone or whatever, and completely missing the sunset. Even those trying to get to a place to enjoy nature many times miss what is right before them. They might miss it because they are too busy with their lives, or because they don’t take the opportunity to get out to see it.
Life is FULL of side roads for us to explore. Yes it takes time, and yes it might even be a bit dangerous. If you refuse to take a side road from time to time you will have no idea what you are missing.
This site, which used to be dedicated to my photography is now re purposed to help us explore the side roads. I may even bring in another photographer to help me with the blog. I hope to show you what is happening on the side, whether its a family meeting, town development or mainly exploring our natural landscapes from a road less traveled. All visually speaking. After all this is a photography site.
Your help is also needed. If you like what you see here, I simply request that you help share this site with others. There should be links at the bottom of the posts for sharing, and a feed for you to signup for if you wish. If you want to help contribute just shoot me an email so we can talk about it.
So, enjoy the site, and thank you for visiting. Please come again.
