I have been so focused on work and improving my photography that I have forgotten how to practice smiling. I come home from work thinking about the projects I am working on. Its like my chess game with Jerry, I think about my move while I am working on other projects. I never really stop [...] Guess what? What? There is more to shooting a photo than shooting a photo. Post processing is very important. Here is a little treatment put on a photo to emphasize the heat and sun in the wheat.
My old method of shooting plant life was to shoot with a very low aperture and a wide angle lens. I would get very close and highlight just a small portion of the plant. This shot, however, is just the opposite. For this shot I zoomed in a bit and set the f-stop at [...] It is the same thing. Taking a picture from your car window works in some cases, but getting out and exploring the angles; going where no one else has gone, sure has it’s rewards. The most may be personal rewards, but that is after all why we do this…. isn’t it? I took this [...] These three trees of orient are….. I don’t know why I just said that. For some reason that song came to mind. Yesterday I drove a little past our house on empty because the sun was out. The winter sky being nice and blue was a great contrast to the snow and melting snow. [...] |
